Overseas WIC Program

WIC is offered for Miltary families.  They have to meet the same requirements as they would in the United States.  This is really interesting to me, I always wondered how it worked for our military.  I am glad to see we offer assistance for them.

The Department of Defense (DoD) offers the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Overseas Program to eligible overseas beneficiaries. The WIC Overseas Program provides participants and their families with important benefits, including:

    What a great program! I always wondered if it was difficult for a family to get by on a military salary. I am glad to know that there is assistance through the WIC program. Thanks for sharing.

    I find this very interesting. I never knew it was difficult for military families to live on their salaries. I always assumed that all of their needs were or would be met because they do such a great deal for our country.

    I did not know that military families were able to obtain benefits from the WIC program. I know how much it can help, I have three children and all of them have been on the program. I think it is one of the best programs the government has ever come up with. Great post, good information!
