"Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be." — Shel Silverstein

Looks like you and your Assistant Teacher had a great time. Wihtout a whole lot of effort, you're really showing the children that grown-ups get to play too!!
ReplyDeleteI want to comment on what you said about we engage children in activities and learn with them. That is so true. Most of what I know, comes from looking up information on a topic etc.
ReplyDeleteI really love Dr. Seuss also. My class did a week on Dr. Seuss but we are not able to go the library as it was toooooo cold. It is 6 blocks to the library so we had our own Dr. Seuss. We did silly songs, played games and read as many of his books as I could find. The children loved it. We counted feet and apples on top.
