My Favorite Book



My favorite book is "The Cat and the Hat" by Dr. Seuss.  Every year my Assistant Teacher and I dress up for Dr. Seuss' birthday.  This year we took our classes to the library and read "The Cat and the Hat."  We also sang Happy Birthday to him even though he wasn't there.  The children had a great time and by the way so did we....LoL

    Looks like you and your Assistant Teacher had a great time. Wihtout a whole lot of effort, you're really showing the children that grown-ups get to play too!!

    I want to comment on what you said about we engage children in activities and learn with them. That is so true. Most of what I know, comes from looking up information on a topic etc.

    I really love Dr. Seuss also. My class did a week on Dr. Seuss but we are not able to go the library as it was toooooo cold. It is 6 blocks to the library so we had our own Dr. Seuss. We did silly songs, played games and read as many of his books as I could find. The children loved it. We counted feet and apples on top.
